What is The Soccer Sidelines?

The Damascus Soccer Club is proud to sponsor The Soccer Sidelines podcast. The Soccer Sidelines is a weekly podcast that was started by our Club President in 2017. The idea was born from "Culture Walks" he started in 2015 while serving as Director for Recreation. He set out to cultivate a healthy sideline culture among coaches and parents and found himself having great discussions that he felt should be shared with others.

His inbox was full of thousands of frequently asked questions from parents. He recalled some of the best sideline discussion he had, and assembled a list of should ask questions that he wished he had asked when he got started as a soccer parent. He bought a microphone, started writing show notes, and The Soccer Sidelines became a resource for parents that currently has more than 28,000 downloads and confirmed listeners from New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Alabama, Vancouver, England, California, Peru, Malaysia, and more.

This weekly show is club agnostic and free to anyone who wants to subscribe. Subscriptions can be done through any of the popular podcasting apps like Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Tunein Radio, RadioPublic, Libsyn, Radio.com, iHeartRadio, Spotify, and more. It's also conveniently reproduced and updated for you below as each new episode is published.
